My Macbook Pro Trackpad Is Not Working. Sometimes it would work but it would be very still then eventually it would not click - left or right click - and be able to click and drag etc. Check your devices power.
Click Trackpad and then select Point Click tab. Keep touch surface dry and clean. Uncheck Ignore built-in trackpad when mouse or wireless trackpad is present if this box is checked.

After reading the forums I ordered a replacement trackpad cable. Go to the Apple menu and select System Preferences under the Apple menu. After it booted it up from restart the trackpad doesnt work. From what others put I thought that there maybe was some water trapped somewhere so I took the trackpad out and put it into some rice and baked it at 100F 130 F with a digital thermometer in a hot spot to monitor the temps.
